In the beginning of the year – 2003, some well-experienced educationist of Diu district gathered and thought about opening a school in this beautiful island. The dream gave way, to brainstorming of different aspects like resource planning, infrastructure, educational pedagogy and other nitty gritty of a school functioning. No stones were left unturned for this. Gradually the informal body took the shape of a formal one and got registration as a formal body under SRA of 1860 in March 2003 under the name “Galaxy Education Society” and In the Month of June 2003 the “Galaxy Educational Institute” was inaugurated and thus began our journey.

Galaxy Educational Institute, established in 2003, is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It runs under the aegis of registered educational society, managed by Galaxy Education Society, Fudam – Diu. A group of highly motivated and energetic teachers, a team of educationists, advisors, both in the academic and the cultural field along with a dynamic Principal who always takes the lead.

The school is a co-educational, English Medium institution and is acclaimed for providing quality education to the citizens of this Diu Island.

The new millennium saw the Galaxy family move into its own premises at Diu – Vanakbara Main Road, Nr. Fudam – Diu in 2003. The new space afforded the family a renewed enthusiasm to explore the challenging curves of learning, breathing and living.

The school building with its well ventilated and well lit rooms is conducive to learning. The work space has been judiciously used to engender freedom of movement to various learning stations like the library, art room, dance room, music room, computer labs, play ground and the Audio- Visual room.

The school adheres to the norms and suggestions of the National Level Curriculum from Std. 1 to 10, to give every child an exposure that is required in this competitive world.
